On The Day
What Time Is The Parade?
The parade will run from 12pm to 2pm on Tuesday March 17th.
What Is The Parade Route?
Are There Road Closures On the Day
Yes, Main Street will be closed from Supervalu Intersection down to the Roundabout at the Creche from 10am to 2pm. At 2pm the Creche barriers will be move up to the intersection at the Auld Stand.
Are There Other Events/Attractions On The Day?
Yes the following events will be taking place on the day:
- K Allen & Sons Freestyle Amusements on the day and over the weekend from Friday to Tuesday (subject to final confirmation)
- Market Stalls with local craftors and vendors
- A program of events at The Venue Community Centre To Be Confirmed
Are There Areas For Wheelchair/Special Needs Viewing?
Yes there is, at the Supervalu end of the parade route. Directions will be sign posted on the day.
Where can we park on the day?
Participating In The Parade
When & Where Do We Gather To Participate In The Parade?
The gathering point for floats and walking groups is at the Corballis Shopping Centre. We ask that you be at the designated point for 11am ready for a 12pm start.
Please note there is no parking at or near the gathering point.
What Time Is The Parade?
The parade will run from 12pm to 2pm on Tuesday March 17th.
Is There A Restriction On The Size Of Our Group?
No there is not.
However if your float involves a large vehicle please ensure you have the manpower to ensure you can safely navigate the parade route.
Volunteering
Do I Need Any Skills To Participate As A Volunteer?
No you do not need any specific skills, just a strong sense of community and a wish to give a helping hand on the day. Your assistance will be very much appreciated.
What Volunteer Roles Are Available?
We are looking for people to fill the following roles:
- Stewards manning the barriers
- Marshalls organising and managing the parade route
- Compares
There will be a volunteer briefing on the morning of the event.
What Commitment Is Required From Volunteers?
The time commitment will depend on the number of volunteers available. The time we need to fill roles will be from 10:30am to 3pm. If there are a large number of volunteers you may only be required for a portion of this time, but this will be the maximum time required.
Markets
When can we setup?
Assigned pitches will be accessible from 9am.
In there parking for Stall holders onsite?
There is limited parking available in the community centre across the road from the markets. This will be available on a first come, first served basis.
What Time Are The Markets On?
The Markets will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm
